CAMP FACILITIES: Our outdoor facility is host to tennis and basketball courts, football goals among open fields, outdoor pavilions in our wooded areas, and the Wilmington area's largest swimming pool with a 60ft long water slide. Heading into the woods gets us right onto the park trails, which we use for occasional picnic activities by the river. On our campus, the Siegel JCC main building is open to our campers for those inevitable stormy and overly hot days so program continues rain or shine.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: 2019 is our 60th year of continuous programming and our 35th year on the same campus. Our program focuses on three umbrella activity areas: Action, Creation, and Exploration. Our youngest campers cycle through various activities through the day that present interesting challenges that promote growth while being designed for their developmental needs. As our campers grow with us from year to year, they gain more flexibility, eventually creating their own schedules tailored to their interests, including week long clubs that deliver a specialty camp level of programming. By giving the campers the choice of how to run their summer, we empower them as we engage them. Our program is also designed to instill a set of shared values: Respect, Community, Honesty, and Kindness. Our goal is for every camper to grow into the person they are meant to be, summer after summer, as the camp experience is shared with the world.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Rising 8th and 9th graders can choose to enter our Leaders-in-Training sessions in two week blocks for an extensive and engaging experience that will allow them to reflect on the leader they want to be. Rising 10th graders can apply to our Counselors-in-Training program for only $25 a week. Please visit Our Camp Website Link: www.siegeljcc.org for more information.
