TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. Monday- Thursday 9am-2pm

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: During each session, riders will participate safely in the following activities:Have their own lesson horse/pony for the entire session they are responsible for all aspects of care!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Equestrian Program, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: 10 minutes from the Collections Shopping Mall in downtown Oxnard. This is a family run farm with livestock as well surrounded by fields of strawberries.
CAMP FACILITIES: set on a rustic family ranch amid the strawberry fields of Oxnard, Ca. Home to over 25 horses /ponies.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Horses and ponies and everything equine for the young equestrian enthusiast.
Lead by professional equestrian trainer with over 25+ years experience in both Hunter/Jumper and Dressage discipline who now focuses on incorporating natural horsemanship to both english and western disciplines alike.

Daily Camp Schedule
Parents are welcome to stay for the entire camp, so long as they are not a distraction.
Check in. 9 AM
Buddy and Horse assigned 9:15
(Your buddy camper will be assigned with who you will work with as a team to accomplish your horse chores getting ready to ride; Gather tack, grooming equipment, time to get that horse ready)
Riding Lesson 10 AM
Groom and take care of horse 11:30

End of day pickup. 2 PM
Extended Day Camp (available for ages 9+ yrs)

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: horseback riding lessons and the kids equestrian after-school weekly meetings/ riding lessons.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Ride at the walk and trot with control and good form. Cantering included as appropriate. Participate in equestrian/horse games, activities, and crafts with a fun group of horse-loving riders. One mounted riding lesson daily- Try English, Western discipline styles of riding, and even bareback. Horsemanship /Barn Management – ground handling, leg wrapping, veterinary care, shoeing, stall cleaning, tack care, grooming, and feeding. Learn safe handling and control of the horse both while mounted and unmounted.
To be safe around these gentle giants, the rider must learn about horse behavior and understand how they communicate. Learn both English and Western disciplines plus we also incorporate various methods of Natural Horsemanship theories The students will have a demonstration and then the opportunity to practice what they have learned in the round pen with the pony they will be riding. Every day we will expand upon the foundations they learned from the day before.
Extended day camp available 2pm-4pm for an additional $55/ days
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
$550/ session. or $150/day. 6 summer sessions total
A $200 nonrefundable deposit is due at registration is required to hold a spot.
Extended Camp days are available for campers over the age of 9 yrs, from 2 pm-4 pm, and includes extra riding/horse time.
5% off for siblings enrolled for the full week.
$100 discount if registered & paid in full before April 28th.
